  • What is The Newman Fund?

As with most independent schools, The Newman Fund is VITAL for supporting our general
operations and programming of academics, financial aid, scholarships, and activities.
The Newman Fund is our key vehicle to keep Newman affordable and accessible to all by
    paying for:
    • Continued growth in our academic programs
    • Exciting development of our athletic and extracurricular activities
    • The maintenance of our wonderful historic buildings
    • The purchase of equipment for science, computer, music, and arts instruction
    • Helping to pay our hard-working Newman faculty competitive salaries
The Newman Fund allows for additional student enrichment outside of the classroom to ensure
all students can discover their independence and master their passions, in an affordable,
equitable, and comfortable learning environment. This critical support strengthens The Newman
School and benefits every student, every faculty member, and all aspect of our programs.
We are all active stakeholders who are promoting our mission, building our reputation, and
providing the resources to enhance the value of The Newman School education, and the
    students’ degrees.

You may be able to double, or triple, your donation with a matching gift. We offer a database of
over 24,000 companies who match donations and will send their match directly to Newman. Take a look in the matching toolbar in the section below.
  • Why give to The Newman Fund?

The Newman School offers unique programming, and our faculty and staff are dedicated to
ensuring student success in a safe and engaging learning environment. We offer a high-quality
academic program, organized around the International Baccalaureate, to further develop
students’ education and the value of their degrees.
We are surrounded by a beautiful and unique environment and use the City of Boston as our
classroom. We offer multiple clubs and co-curriculars, an athletic program that provides
opportunity for all to participate and compete, and access to the unparalleled intellectual
    offerings of Boston’s Back Bay.

The Newman School opens countless doors for our students for admission to competitive
colleges in New England and beyond, all for an affordable tuition. We are all active stakeholders
who are promoting our mission, building our reputation, and providing the resources to enhance
the value of The Newman School education, and the students’ degrees.

A donation to The Newman Fund is a way to express your support and confidence in Newman’s
leadership, mission of success, and academic programming.

  • Does my tuition payment cover my donation?

We are fortunate that we can fund so many programs at Newman and we rely on unrestricted
annual fund contributions to provide resources for students and faculty that support educational
components not covered by tuition alone. We do our best to enrich our student activities, without
    asking for additional support fees.

We use the City of Boston as our classroom and often cover significant costs for our students
such as facility rentals, uniform costs, referee and trainer expenses, and the cost of event
transportation. Your donation to The Newman Fund can help to offset these costs for students
    and families.
  • How much of a donation REALLY makes a difference?

To sum it up in three words, EVERY DONATION MATTERS!
No amount is too small, and we truly appreciate any amount you can give.

A donation to The Newman Fund is a way to express your support and confidence in Newman’s
leadership, mission of success, and academic programming. We are grateful for the limitless opportunities created through your support of The Newman School.
OUR ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO HAVE 100% PARTICIPATION FROM EVERYONE IN THE NEWMAN FAMILY!

  • How can I match my donation?

Matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations. When an employee donates, they will request the matching gift from their employer, who then makes their own donation.

You could possibly double, or triple, your donation with a matching gift! We offer database of over 24,000 companies who will match a portion, or all, of your donation; some companies even match 3:1. To get started, talk your employer if they support this initiative.

You can search for your company and get assistance with your matching paperwork.
